Abstract
Presented in summary form are morphological descriptions of the principal kinds of eastern Anasazi decorated pottery found on the Llano Estacada and adjacent regions. Emphasized is glaze-paint pottery which seems to occur more frequentlythan earlier black-on-white types. Anasazi pottery has generally been accurately dated by the dendrochronological method in its area of manufacture. Because of this, it is an invaluable tool in the cross dating of some Plains sites to the east and northeast. Descriptions have been recently revised for many of the types and a number of new types defined by the author. Still lacking are firm redefinitions of Eastern Anasazi culinary types, which also often occur on the Plains, sometimes not accompanied by decorated types.
