Tomy Brautschek

Tomy Brautschek is a research fellow at the Department for Media and Cultural Studies at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany, where he conducts a PhD research project on Discourses of Sound Recording and Music Producer Culture. Brautschek studied Cultural Media Studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. His research interests include media theory of acoustic spatiality, Popular Cultural Studies and the aural construction of cultural identity.

Maximilian Haberer

Maximilian Haberer is a research fellow at the Department for Media and Cultural Studies at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany, where he conducts a PhD research project on the cultural history and aesthetics of audio tape. Haberer studied Cultural Media Studies and Musicology in Freiburg, Vienna, Düsseldorf, and at the Pennsylvania State University (PA, USA). His research interests include Sound Studies, Popular Music Studies, Media Theory and the history of sound technology.
