Kirsten Paige

Kirsten Paige is Assistant Teaching Professor of Musicology at North Carolina State University. Her work asks how forms of scientific knowledge (particularly climatic, environmental, and energy knowledge) shape aural cultures and musical practices in the long nineteenth century. Paige’s work has been published in journals that include Opera Quarterly, 19th-Century Music, and Journal of the Royal Musical Association. Her first book, Richard Wagner’s Political Ecology, is under contract with University of Chicago Press.
