L'ergothérapie et la Douleur Chronique (OT and Chronic Pain)

Pages 32-35 | Published online: 12 Apr 2016

Abstract

Chronic pain becomes established beyond a 3 to 6 month-period of pain. It is then considered as a real pathology and will progressively reduce the patient's capacities of independence. Occupational Therapy will allow a patient to find a functional strategy in order to recover a new way of life as well as a self-satisfying quality of life. It would be desirable that the Occupational Therapist be active in the chronicity prevention plan.
