Manipulation of Nutrients to Prevent Cancer

Pages 119-134 | Published online: 17 May 2016

Abstract

Laboratory and epidemiologic data strongly suggest that changes in diet can influence human cancer risk. To develop more definitive information, the National Cancer Institute has two research programs: one to investigate the safety and efficacy of specific chemicals and micronutrients; the other to study the effects of macronutrients such as fat on cancer incidence.
