An overview of the main issues in women's sports from a medical point of view by Grayevskaya, Petrov, and. CitationBelyayeva (1987)—as well as works by Radziyevskiy and Shakhlina, in particular their 1990 article on the physiological basis of women's sports training management taking the menstrual cycle phases into account—can be said to summarize this trend in women's sports theory.
