Dear Editor, we would like to comment on the publication “Knowledge-map analysis of bladder cancer immunotherapy.”Citation1 One potential shortcoming of this study is that it only focused on bibliometric analysis without delving into the actual findings and outcomes of the research papers examined. While it contains useful information about research trends and collaborations in the field of bladder cancer immunotherapy, it does not provide insights into the efficacy or impact of these efforts.

The mapping concept is intriguing, and it is primarily based on clinical geographical principles. However, based on clinical geographical principles, there are several concerns. For example, in some included articles, there may be multiple study settings, and a fair weighting system in summative analysis is required because there is an imbalance in different reports due to the different number of study settings in each report.

A systematic review or meta-analysis of current studies in the field of bladder cancer immunotherapy could be a future direction for this research. This would allow for a thorough assessment of the efficacy of various immunotherapy approaches, as well as the identification of any gaps or areas in which additional research is required. Exploring the potential challenges and limitations of bladder cancer immunotherapy, such as treatment resistance or side effects, could also be a worthwhile area of research in the future.
