Redefining Poverty for the Asia Pacific Region: Implications for Social Work Education

Abstract

Poverty is relative to time and place, and must be viewed in relation to the socio-cultural background of the society. Implications of poverty for social work education for countries in the West as well as the third world are discussed in this paper.
