Abstract
This qualitative study with eight adult children providing care to their aging parents revealed four major themes: family or family network served as the major mode of elderly care, the arrangement of elderly care engendering sibling conflicts, elderly's preference for independent household, and finally, a need for organised social service programmes for the elderly to supplement the current model of family care for their elderly members.
