Abstract

The effect of a co-channel interfering carrier on the frequency response of a passive hybrid-tee microwave discriminator has been studied experimentally as well as theoretically in this paper. The interfering tone introduces asymmetry in the frequency response of the discriminator, shifts the response around the crossover line and changes the crossover frequency of the discriminator. Experimental measurement of the crossover frequency shifts of the discriminator shows a periodic variation with a variation in the interference frequency.
