SUMMARY
Imaginal longevity in Andrenosoma bayardi [Dipt. Asilidae]
The dates of appearing of some characteristic Asilids of Provence are indicated in the table II. The dates of the captures permit to determine with precision the periods of flight, but do not give interesting findings on the longetivy of adulte.
347 adults of Andrenosoma bayardi are captured in three differents stations, these individuals are marqued, and realeased; 96 are recaptured. This method permit to estimate approximatively the longevity of this species — this longevity is included between 2 and 55 days.
For the majority of the species of Provence; it is impossible on account of absence of marquing, to give a definitive answer.
