SUMMARY
M. Descamps: Revision of the Pseudomasta inae [Orth. Eusmastacidae]
The monogenic subfamily Pseudomastacinae Rehn and Grant 1958, contained until now 10 species, distributed in the South West of the Amazon basin. One species is synonymised: P. facialis (Saussure 1903) = P. collaris (Gerstaecker 1888) and 4 new taxa are described.
14 species are now included in the genus Pseudomastax; for the main part, the ♂ only is known, one species (P. magna) has been described on the ♀, while 2 specific pairs only could be constituted. The ♀ are extremely scarce in collections, a fact which seems to lie in connexion with a lesser activity which, together with a duller colour, allows the insects of this sex to be easily overlooked.
The characters of the genus are exposed, and the structure of the phallic complex is described; a key of species is given for ♂ and ♀.
