Abstract

The water distilled and solvent free microwave assisted extracted (SFME) essential oils of flowers, leaves and stems of Stachys inflata Benth. were analyzed by means of GC and GC-MS. The main compounds founded in the flower oils were α-pinene (8.3 and 9.5 %), germacrene D (17.0 and 9.5 %), spathulenol (19.6 and 19.9 %) and bicyclogermacrene (16.4 and 6.3 %) extracted by hydrodisstilation and SFME, respectively. α-pinene (27.8 and 20.7 %), n-hexadecanoic acid (11.3 and 12.5 %) and spathulenol (8.6 and 9.7 %) were found to be the main constituents in the leaf oils and α-pinene (46.5 and 13.4 %), β-pinene (10.1 and 3.7 %), sylyesterene (8.8 and 4.2 %), carvacrol (0 and 11.6 %) and spathulenol (2.9, 9.8 %) were the major constituents in stem oils obtained by hydrodisstilation and SFME, respectively.
