“I Just Thought I Would Be the School Counselor”: Vision as a Reflective Practice

Abstract

This article presents findings from a two-year exploratory case study that examined how elementary school counselors responded to a professional development (PD) series that highlighted vision as a leadership practice. Findings speak to vision as a reflective practice that attends to examination of counselor role. Implications address vision as a reflective process to guide practice and suggestions for future research.
