In section 4.2, there was an error in the degree of accuracy stated for the quadrature. The following shows the necessary changes to the original article.

Original:

It is known that this quadrature integrates spherical harmonics of degree n_q − 1 exactly (Stroud, 1971; Walters, 1987).

Change:

It is known that this quadrature integrates spherical harmonics up to and including degree 2n_q − 1 exactly (Stroud, 1971; Walters, 1987). In general, the coefficient matrices, ⟨ξmm^T⟩ and ⟨ηmm^T⟩, of the advection terms in the P_N equations require integration of spherical harmonics up to degree 2N + 1.
