This special issue of the Journal of Advanced Materials and Processing Technology (JAMPT) contains selected papers presented at the 10th International Conference on Materials Processing and Characterisation (ICMPC 2020). ICMPC 2020 was held in Mathura, India during Feb 21–23, 2020. The goal of the conference was to create a cross disciplinary summit that transcends departmental, institutional, industrial, public and private research organisations and global barriers and lends itself to the integration of research and education in the vital field of advanced materials. Approximately 830 papers were submitted to the conference and after review, 539 papers were presented by researchers from various industries, research and academic institutes from different countries.
Review of the papers presented in this special issue has given me in-depth understanding in major sectors of advanced processing, material characterisation, modelling and simulation, properties, performance and device fabrication. We would like to thank the reviewers for providing their valuable evaluations and the authors for their patience during the review process.
