BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

CLEOPHAS T. MUNERI is a media studies lecturer at the University of New Mexico in the United States. His research interests focus on the role of new communication technologies and media in the democratisation process, and how they impact political change in postcolonial environments such as Africa. Muneri has also published work focusing on the intersection of identities and culture and the role of the media (both formal and social) in democratisation, and how both impact political change.
