William Shakespeare’s advice on our journal

If you walk down the street where I live, in Stratford-upon-Avon, and cross the bridge over the canal, you come to the house where Shakespeare was born. I wondered what he would think of our journal, if he were around today. I suspect he would see the bigger picture …

Will:  ‘…such stuff as dreams are made on…’

(The Tempest, Act 4, Scene 1)

Will:  ‘All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.’

(As You Like It, Act 2, Scene 7)

Editor:  It is gold open access, you know? Good for science across the world.

(The Merchant of Venice, Act 2, Scene 7)

Editor:  We’re in the top 10 journals in Multidisciplinary Physics.

Will:  ‘Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.

(Henry IV, Part 2, Act 3, Scene 1)

Editor:  We need to double down on our efforts then?

Will:  ‘Nothing will come of nothing.’

Will:  ‘To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.’

 (Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3)

Editor: Thanks for that, Will – great advice, as usual!
