Lilah Besser
Lilah Besser is an Assistant Professor who researches the intersections between community and neighborhood environments and healthy brain aging. Her research program centers on determining the neighborhood social and built environments that can be promoted throughout life to reduce late-life risk of Alzheimer’s disease and associated disorders. Her educational background includes a PhD in City and Regional Planning and a MSPH in Epidemiology and Environmental and Occupational Health. She is Section Editor of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, teaches undergraduate and graduate students about health and the built environment, and serves as Chair of her department’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
