When the above article was first published, the specimen from which the tissue sample was obtained from for the study is Callianassa ceramica Fulton & Grant, which was incorrectly identified as Trypaea australiensis Dana.

A tissue sample of a specimen of Trypaea australiensis was subsequently obtained from the Museum Victoria collection from Stony Point, Western Port Bay, Victoria, Australia (Catalogue number: J40711), and sequenced for the complete mitochondrial genome. This sequence has been used to update the GenBank Reference Sequence for this species with the revised accession number of KM501040.2 and new source data.

The mitochondrial sequence for Callianassa ceramica described in the article above has been submitted to GenBank under a new accession number (KU362925.1).

The authors apologise for any inconvenience caused and are grateful to Dr G. C. B. Poore (Museum Victoria) for pointing out this error.
