ABSTRACT

In this contribution, a ZnO-Pd nanocomposite was synthesized via a simple one-pot hydrothermal method. XRD and XPS analyses confirmed the successful formation of the ZnO-Pd nanocomposite. The synthesized novel nanocompsite was used as an electrode surface modifier for the electrochemical determination of quinoline yellow (QY). Under the optimization conditions, the response peak currents of the QY sensor were linear over ranges from 0.01 to 10 μM. In addition, the proposed sensor also showed excellent sensitivity with the detection limit of 0.004 μM.
