ABSTRACT
A novel Cd-Metal-organic frameworks (MOF) was generated based on asymmetric ligand 5-(4-(1-imidazolyl)phenyl)pyrimidine (L) with CdSiF6. The crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system, space group Pnna with a = 15.429(3), b = 16.683(3), and c = 12.703(3) Å, C26H20CdF6N8Si. L acts as a bridging bidentate ligand to link Cd(II) centers to generate a (4, 4) net architecture, further linked by fluosilicate anions resulting in a 3D network with fluosilicate anions encapsulated in channels. In addition, the luminescent properties of L and Cd-MOF were investigated primarily in the solid state.
