ABSTRACT

Cu0 nanoneedles were deposited on the functionalized SAPO-34 zeolites to develop a novel heterogeneous nanocatalyst for carrying out the model reduction reaction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) to 4-aminophenol (4-AP) in the presence of excess NaBH4 at room temperature. Functionalized SAPO-34 zeolites from an approach of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane and succinic anhydride under hydrothermal conditions followed by the deposition of Cu0 nanoneedles were accepted to offer the Cu/SAPO-34 nanocatalyst. The developed Cu/SAPO-34 nanocatalysts were thoroughly characterized by several characterization techniques.
