ABSTRACT

A new heterometallic compound, namely [CdNa(btc)(μ2-H2O)(H2O)]n (1 H3btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid), was synthesized via the solvothermal reactions of Cd(NO3)2·4H2O, NaHCO3 and H3btc and further characterized by the elemental analysis, IR, powder X-ray diffraction analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The title complex crystallized in the monoclinic P21/c space group with a = 9.7056(4), b = 16.9780(6), c = 6.5046(3) Å, β = 103.658(5)°, V = 1041.53(7) Å3. This compound features a three-dimensional (3D) framework based on heterometallic 1D inorganic chains. The luminescent property of 1 has also been investigated.
