Abstract

In this study, we reviewed the biogenic route for the synthesis of iron nanomaterials (Fe-NMs) with special emphasis on recent progress. Natural products or its derivatives including extract of plants part, microorganisms, and various biomolecules have been used as stabilizing and reducing agents during synthesis. The greener methodology is quite simple, eco-friendly and generally followed single step process. This review summarized recent literature regarding the greener synthetic assemblies and environmental remediation, biomedical, and antimicrobial applications.
