Raanan Kulka

Raanan Kulka is a clinical psychologist, training psychoanalyst, member of the Israel Psychoanalytic Society and the Israel Institute for Psychoanalysis; a founding member and former chairperson of the Israel Association for Self Psychology and the Study of Subjectivity (IASPS); and head of the Human Spirit: Psychoanalytic-Buddhist Training Program of the IASPS. Kulka presented Kohut’s Memorial Lecture at the 42nd IAPSP Conference in Vancouver in 2019. He is the author of two books’ introductory chapters: (a) “Tragedy and Transformation: Israel’s Contribution to Psychoanalysis” and “The Solution of an Historical Riddle: Self Psychology and Child Psychoanalysis” (in press). He has two writing projects in preparation: Meditating Kohut: Revisiting the Chicago lectures and The Future Shore: Selfobject Psychology.
