Optical Differentiation of Distorted Gratings Using Talbot and Double Diffraction Interferometry

Abstract

The extensions of two techniques recently proposed for applying the concept of grating shearing interferometry to the optical differentiation of quasi-periodic patterns are presented. Various possible detection modes are described and the validity of the experimental results in the case of gratings with large distortions is discussed.
