Clinical Decision Making in Treatment of Learning Disabled Children

Abstract

This paper describes current theories and intervention strategies employed in the treatment of learning disabilities. Type, duration and effectiveness of approaches are considered. Criteria for choosing different types of treatment and the responsibility of therapists to provide specificity in treatment are explored. The future of public school based therapy is challenged directly by outcomes of treatment, its documentation and linkages to educational performance.s
