Abstract
In this paper we study the group of automorphisms Aut(A/P′), where A is a free product of torsion-free abelian groups, C the Cartesian subgroup of A, P ⊆ C, P ◃ A. We obtain a generalization of the Bachmuth embedding and discuss some immediate applications of the new embedding. The Fox differential calculus is also generalized.
