ABSTRACT

A review of DNA sensors is presented. Firstly, the history and the applications of DNA sensors are explained. Next, the different probes and immobilisation are reviewed, and their advantages and disadvantages are contrasted. Different methods for the immobilisation characterisation and the hybridisation detection are presented. Finally, sample and signal amplification strategies are mentioned.
