Abstract

Two monosubstituted short‐chain alklynaphthalene sulfonates of high purity were synthesized and their physicochemical properties were studied, especially the behavior when they were blended with other surfactants. It was found that the surface properties of sodium short‐chain alkylnaphthalene sulfonates could be obviously changed when they were blended with other surfactants, and the salinity and Ca2+ tolerance of the system could be improved at the same time.
