Abstract

Sodium citrate capped ZnS and CdS nanoparticles were synthesized. Mixing the two partners gave rise to new phenomena in optical and structural properties. The interacting process was probed by UV‐vis absorption, emission spectra, XRD, and TEM. The results confirmed that the Zn@CdS core/shell structure was formed due to Oswald ripening.
