Abstract

In order to improve the selective absorption behavior of desulfurizer, a new sterically hindered amine desulfurizer, JPE-7, was developed. The performance of the desulfurizer was evaluated in laboratory. The effects of raw gas flow rate, absorption temperature and time, meanwhile JPE-7 and MDEA compound concentration on selective absorption capacity for H2S were investigated. Results showed that the desulfurizer JPE-7 had more excellent selectivity and absorption capacities than MDEA. The commercial availability of JPE-7 was discussed.
