Abstract

By affinity chromatography with Sepharose coupled to 2′-deoxy-1-β-D-ribofuranosyl-N 4-dodecanoylcytosine, deoxycytidine kinase and cytidine deaminase were purified 1,950- and 2,240-fold, respectively, from Ehrlich carcinoma cells, and their enzyme activities for several deoxycytidine analogs were investigated.

This investigation was supported in part by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Priority Areas from the Ministry of Education, Science, Sports, and Culture of Japan, and by the 2nd-Term Comprehensive Ten-Year Strategy for Cancer Control from the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan.
