Abstract

An efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of phosphono substituted-heterocycles and vinylphosphonates. The procedure involves coupling reactions between α,α-dihalo-, α-monohalo- and β-monohalo-carbonyl substrates with the sodium salt of diethyl cyanomethylphosphonate.
