Abstract
A new developed sulfonation procedure for the synthesis of water-soluble ligand was applied to DDPPI [1,4:3,6-dianhydro-2,5-dideoxy-2,5-bis-(diphenylphosphino)-L-iditol] with high yield and purity. The product was confirmed by elemental analysis and 1H, 13C, 31 P NMR and IR spectroscopy.
