ABSTRACT

This work describes a relatively simple process to form thiocyanate substituted nucleoside mimics. ClSCN is slowly added to a solution of silylated heterocycle and suitable electron rich alkene. N-alkylated heterocycles are isolated in good yields after hydrolytic workup and flash chromatography.
