Efficient and Versatile Single‐Pot Alternative Approach to Dipyrromethanes

Abstract

A convenient procedure for the synthesis of meso‐substituted dipyrromethanes and 5,10‐disubstituted tripyrranes is described. Different aryl groups appended with electron donating/withdrawing substituents as well as alkyl groups have been incorporated at the methylene bridge (C‐5).
