CuBr2‐Catalyzed Synthesis of Bis(indolyl)methanes

Abstract

Copper(II) bromide is found to be an efficient catalyst for the electrophilic substitution reaction of indole with aldehydes to afford the corresponding bis(indolyl)methanes in good yields.
