Abstract
Titanium(IV), vanadium(IV) and chromium(III) complexes of some new β-diketone dihydrazone derivatives have been synthesized and studied spectroscopically, by elemental and thermal analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductance in DMF, IR and electronic absorption spectra and precipitimetric determination of TiO(II), VO(II) and Cr(III) ions. The results revealed the formation of octahedral (1:1) complexes with TiO(IV), VO(IV) and Cr(III) ions. The organic ligands behave as weak bidentate chelating agents.
