Abstract
In this study, 4,4′-bis(chloroacetyl)diphenylmethane (HL) has been synthesized from chloroacetylchloride and diphenylmethane. Subsequently, its keto oxime (H2L) and glyoxime (H4L) derivatives have been prepared. Then, seven new substituted bis(aminophenylglyoxime)methanes (H4Lx) have been synthesized from bis(chlorophenylglyoxime)methane and the corresponding amines. The Ni(II), Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes of these ligands were prepared. The structures of these ligands and their complexes were identifed by IR and 1H NMR spectral data, elemental analyses and magnetic measurements.
