ABSTRACT

A new tridentate ligand with ONO donor atoms and its complexes have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, UV spectra, thermal analyses and cyclic voltammetry. Spectral data show that the complexes conform to the general experimental formula ML2·nH2O[M˭Mn(II),Co(II),Ni(II),Zn(II), Cd(II);HL˭ N-(1 -phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzal-5-pyrazolone)-p-methoxybenzoylhydrazine.
