ABSTRACT
Four different 4-aminobenzoate derivates of vic-dioximes were synthesized. Their transition metal complexes with Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) were prepared with a metal-ligand ratio of 1:2. The unsymmetrical complexes are in the anti form. The ligands and complexes were characterized by a combination of 1H NMR, IR and elemental analyses. The extraction abilities of these new vic-dioximes were examined by the liquid–liquid and solid–liquid extraction of selected alkali [Li(I), Na(I), K(I) and Cs(I)] and transition metal [Cd(II), Hg(II), Cu(II), Pb(II) and Ni(II)] ions.
