Stochastic Compartmental Models for Diabetes

Abstract

This note outlines some stochastic continuous time compartmental models for the development of diabetes, and considers a model with an age structure. An incidence, prevalence, remission and mortality model for individuals at or below 65, and above 65 years of age is analyzed. This seems to give some reasonably realistic numerical results.
