Mara Waldhorn
Mara Waldhorn received her Master's degree in Social Documentation from the University of California, Santa Cruz in June 2010. She is in the distribution phase of her documentary film Bienvenido that tells the story of a 13-year-old boy who is slipping through the cracks of the New York City public education system. Before pursuing a career in documentary filmmaking, Mara received a Master of Science degree in Teaching while she taught English as a Second Language in New York City. She has found a happy medium pursuing work in both education and filmmaking
