Cleaning and recording of the site were carried out in November of 2011 and 2012 under the direction of Şengül Aydıngün; supervised by Hakan Öniz, with the participation of archaeologists Ahmet Aslan, Dürdane Kaya and Kenan Şengül. Archaeologist Ersin Atakal assisted as the representative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Ceramics dating was carried out by Petra Turnowski from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The bathymetric survey was conducted by a team directed by Cem Gazioğlu from the University of İstanbul Institute of Marine Sciences and Management.
