In the notes to the Introduction of Aberrations in Black, Roderick Ferguson (Citation) defines queer of color analysis as a mode of critique that “interrogates social formations at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality and class, with particular interest in how those formations correspond with and diverge from nationalist ideals and practices” (p. 149).
