Abstract

Vitamin A deficiency is a leading cause of vision impairment and blindness in Third Clifton Gardens, New South Wales World countries, particularly among children, but its serious effects are rarely encountered in optometric practice in Australia. However, unemployment rates and die seeming increase in fad diets and eating disorders may alter this apparent state. This paper describes the effects of vitamin A deficiency on the vision of a young woman who had an eating disorder.
