Ocular manifestations of pinealoma

Abstract

This report describes a patient who presented because of blurred vision in spite of the fact that his visual acuity was R 6/6 and L 6/6. The quality of vision improved when one eye was occluded and decreased when looking sideways. Bilateral papilloedema and visual field changes resulting from increased intracranial pressure and hydrocephalus were also observed. Parinaud's syndrome was present and die CT scan revealed a tumour of the pineal body.
