Recent progress in conserving waterlogged wood

 

1 B.Sc. in chemistry from the University of London, Ph.D at the University of Keele, Staffordshire, United Kingdom. Before entering the field of conservation he was mainly concerned with various aspects of polymer chemistry. Has worked in industry and at the National Research Council of Canada. Has been with the Canadian Conservation Institute for five years in Conservation Processes Research, concerned mainly with the conservation treatment of wood. He is also the co‐ordinator of the Waterlogged Wood Working Group of ICOM's International Committee for Conservation.
